I know, I get funny looks or people laugh at me when I tell them I've been doing an ice cream workout every morning. Most people think I'm being sarcastic in some way, or I'm am having a bowl of ice cream every morning, but that can't be further from the truth.
The fact is that I'm tired of all the additives in food, and the more I stray away from them, the more my body reacts, causing me spend endless days with nasty headaches, every time they find their way back into my food. I could ramble on about all day about food labeling, but you're not here to listen to me whine. You want to know what working out and ice cream have in common!
If you've ever worked out at a gym then there's a good chance you're familiar with medicine balls. Medicine balls, are heavy various sized balls, used in a floor or bench workout to maximize core strengthening.
My core is the one place I need to focus on strengthening, and the one thing I was having problems making from scratch due to lack of time was ice cream. It was a match made in heaven. It just so happened that years ago I bought a camping ice cream maker. This is a ball you fill with salt and ice in one side, and ice cream mixture in the the other.
I do a three day rotation with a week off once a month. So for three weeks straight the first day I do arms/chest, the second is leg day, the third is back.
Most people assume I eat the post workout ice cream, and I will have to admit I sample it but I don't eat it. I put the whole 2-4 servings into the freezer for later when it can be enjoyed with the company of my loved ones.
If this is something you think you'd like to try but need to suggestions on how to isolate your muscle groups please let me know and I'll put together a quick and easy workout program with pictures.
